The FA have appointed Steve McClaren to replace Sven Goran Eriksson who steps down after the World Cup finals.

McClaren's next match in charge will be the friendly match between ENGLAND & GREECE, the current European champions on 16 August 2006 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

I would have appointed Martin O'Neill but I think that McClaren deserves a chance. He should however have Stuart Pearce in his backroom staff as that man has passion.
