Both are good aplications, but no one application catches everything. If you have XP or 2000 I would also periodically visit these two sites for on-line scans:

http://www.trendmicro.com/spyware-scan/

http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/

it is possible, yes. But, the BEST bet is to get 2 programs for spyware and removal. Yes, i said 2....why? Cause it's safe and actually reccomended.

The first one i'd go with is Spybot Search & Destroy. It has more definitions, and gets frequently updated with new ones.

The next one i would use would be either Windows Defender Beta 2 (If you have genuine software, just go to microsoft.com, and search for it, where it will validate ya).

If Not, go for Spyware Doctor.

I Highly reccomend either of these 3 because they have helped me, and the people i do computer work for. They show positive results, and always work!

So, check 'em out!

PC magazine rates both of them equally.

Yes, they'll both fish out anything remotely trojans...

anyways, ad aware's free program is oke,...paid version comes with ad-watch which blocks cookies if you want it 2,.., i uninstalled spybot cos i didn't like it, been using ad aware ever since. Reliable as hell.
