I'm German, from Ludwigsburg, that's by Stuttgart about two hours south of Frankfurt. The area is very nice still alot of country and small towns. But it's like over here in the USA it allways depents on where you go.There are lot of big ugly cities there too.Miss it myself I'm now in Kentucky.
To bad you never mentioned where you where in Germany.

I lived in Buddenheim for almost a year in the mid 70's I was young but I guess it was okay. Some German's don't like our military over there. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.. I was glad to come home.

I was there in the early '70's while in the Army. I don't think I got out enough to mix with the Germans, but the ones I knew were nice. I would like to go back some time, but keep putting it off.

(I was pretty young, and some of my memories of that time are a little fuzzie.)

I am german and lived there most of my life. In Berlin to be exact. Too americanized now. I have been in the states since '91. Went back to visit last year.... lots has changed but to me it was still the same. I do miss the variety of food.

I am Canadian and went to school in Friedrichshafen in the 90's. I do still miss it. People are kind, life is good, relaxing. Things are on time. I think it is the best country I have lived in.

I have lived here for nearly 23 consecutive years now. It is not as nice as it once was in many respects. LIBERAL elements have taken root, and that is a sure prescription for disaster economically, politically and socially.
