This is a tough question but, I have to go with Pirates because....
The directors of the movie did not want anything to do with the idea of the character that Depp wanted Jack Sparrow to be. They thought he was totally wrong with his concept. He finally was able to convice them to let him try it out and when he did, they loved it. Imagine what the movie would have been otherwise!! That is true talent. He was the one that had the idea of the dredlocks and the total costume for that character.
That is not to take anything away from any other movie he has done. He is truely a talented actor whether you like him or not, that is talent!!

The Johnny Depp movie, Nick of Time. Good action, I was glued to the TV.

Pirates of the Caribbean, Secret Window and Gilbert Grape plus ALL THE REST OF HIS FILMS.
My least favorite was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas because of the subject matter. I think it's depressing to watch someone waste their lives on drugs. But Depp was good in the part.

Edward Scissorhands without a doubt. Johnny gives a truly magical performance as this outcast oddball, great movie.

Nightmare on Elm-street. To bad Freddy had to kill him close to the beginning.
My daughter (7) would vote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
My son (11) would say Pirates of the Caribbean
