I'm not high.

I meant this in the phenomenological sense: that beauty and complexity evolves out of nothingness. That's incredble. Of course, it can be explained scientifically.

you see beauty in complexity. of course, we are complex, but can we really regard ourselves as beautiful. look at the other beings or things nature has created, and you will discover that humans have violated natures ways. nature is beautiful. humans are ugly.

Haha...like some people had answered, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ask if any other species if the **** sapiens are beautiful. They will probably ask u to go "f off" if they could speak vulgarities.

The fact that it IS incredible that we've evolved from nothing to now.

When u asked this question, u probably had in mind the older ages, when cave mens were dancing around fire and mumbling some unknown words, and heave in relief how we are more advance, in comforts of air-conditionals or heaters while using the Internet.

But million of years later, another guy would probably be asking the same question and laughing at guys in the past who were in comforts of air-conditionals or heaters while using the Internet thinking that they were so advance in the past.

I guess evolution may just be a repetative thingy.

No, you're Not high. It makes perfect sense.

What I'm about to tell you does'nt require scientifics, and it does'nt require religion-- it's all spiritual food for the soul. Now, I don't have a lot of scriptures to give you; but according to the Bible, WE DID COME FROM NOTHING!

I don't know if you believe in the Bible, but according to the scriptures a long time ago, in the Old Testiment, we were separated from God because of sin due to Adam&Eve's disobedience to God's instructions. This caused the human generation to be sinners by nature. (Genesis 2:15-17 & Genesis 3:1-20)

Then, according to the Bible of the New Testiment, God send His Son, who's Name is Jesus Christ, to earth so that our minds and hearts would be open to the Truth about the purpose of Salvation and the Gospel. While on earth, Jesus healed the sick and set the captives free from death; opened the eyes of the blind; raised the dead; gave vocals and hearing to the deaf and mute;

and last of all......................DIED BY GRACE TO ERASE OUR SINS!
(Read the whole New Testiment)

Now, you're probably thinking, "Why is this person going there?"

Well, my point to this explains your question. We were separated from the Grace of God due to Adam&Eve and were subjected to eternal damnation;--on our way to hell. God gave His life so that we can live in Grace and no longer by law. (Romans 5:12-21)

It is now by His Grace that we're here from nothing; and the reason we're so beautiful is because we are made in His wonderful image. (Genesis 1:26)

Now that's a BEAUTIFUL reason to submit your whole life to THE KING OF KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think about it there is no other intelligent life we may be able to compare ourselves to, being the only species with intellectual power, choice, society and technology we believe ourselves to be the best and the most beautiful and complicated. How do we know that somewhere beyond our solar system other intelligent life might not have evolved and become much more powerful and beautiful than us. We have no other intelligent life to compare ourselves with, Beauty and superiority is truly only seen through comparison.

No, it's not. It's vital that we be so beautiful. It's necessary for our continued survival, and our notions of beauty are derived from that necessity. What is just as intriguing is how beautiful other organisms are. Consider a single-celled organism or a platypus or a carrot; three results of different evolutionary circumstances, but each works for the survival of their species. That life can take so many forms is just as beautiful as the life itself.

YOUR Question is based on a lie.. We did not evolve. In the beginning we were created in the image and likeness of GOD. After sin entered into the world we began to devolve: 2nd law of thermodynamics-- Any colsed system reduces--. Now we are much less than when we were created..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's all a matter of who you ask; isn't it amazing so many people have so much surgery in order to look beautiful?

Ahh, the Klingons must think we are hideous creatures compared to their counterparts.

It's not that incredible when you realize that we were hand crafted by The Creator, for He is beauty Himself.

Now if we can just get rid of our tailbone, appendix and whatever else is leftover from our simian/reptilian past, we'll be perfect.
