Not a question, but hows this for a thought. If the man reported the theft and had the card cancelled, but didn't tell his wife he could get another card issued and ask the credit card company NOT to put his wife on as second card holder. That way nobody spend any money on the card but him!!

I think he would be commiting an offence here in the UK, and the financial company behind his card would almost certainly pull his cards, and shatter his credit rating by leaving bad entries with credit-check agencies!

If he reported it missing.. They would cancel the missing card and reissue new cards.. One of which the wife will grab and spend more then the thief was... Weird theory.. I know.. Old joke.
