I grew up on the Looney Tunes and liked Speed Racer, Tom Slick, George of the Jungle. I guess children of each generation grow to like what types of entertainment the newer technologies make possible. An interesting idea would be to do remakes of Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian in Anime or even Pixar.

I know the first 3, and have seen bits of the rest. however I find it worse that they're passing off oldcartoos as new stuff when I saw the episode when it first aired in the early 90's. have they finally run out of material?
I have 5 channels and don't want to watch news or sports on saturday morning, that leaves cartoons, so I notice these things

Anime is Japanese animation/cartoons.
BTW, Speed Racer is an anime.
I think the real US made cartoons are slowly losing their grip on the new generation. And I think they are being replaced by stupid cartoons like Sponge Bob (sorry to all fans) and Japanese animation.

they're past their time.
i grew up on loony toons, but i can't find them anywhere now... there's nothing wrong with anime... it's just that the majority of it is fantasy and sci-fi.
i'm 16, and i feel like my generation was the last to have real cartoons. all the cartoons nowadays are made on computers. they totally suck. i can't imagine what it's like being a kid these days. people who are like 13 and 14 right now have never heard of the cartoons that i've watched when i was a kid. i feel like the standard idea of a childhood is changing drastically.

Cartoon Network, Nickelodean, Boomerang, and other TV channels still show "real" comics and cartoons. If you check out your local comic book store, there's still plenty to choose from if you're not a fan of manga or anime.

Anime is cheap to produce because all they have to do is take
Japanise cartoons and dub english over it. They did the same thing w/The Power Rangers (when they were fighting)

Not me those arnt taht good, since they are mostly about comedy, which is only good to read or watch once, while Anime and Manga has lots of genres which makes it more interesting to watch or read.
