Good point. But you'd still have the same ignorant idiots taking up for them. And the electric chair and stoneing a kid aint even on the same page. Like I said ignorant.

Well, they tortured and hung a 13 yr old girl because she was a Baha'i.
But I don't think the government has anything against puppies. Now, the puppy thing, that would surprise me.
But, blaming the Muslims is simply ignorance.
Those doing these horrific things and calling themselves Muslims (and unfortunately they are not few) are as ignorant of Islam as those who think Islam is what these terrorists represent.
Who is doing this is the Iranian government.
Not the people who hide in their homes in fear.
And not the Muslims who, as they were taught by Muhammad, except differences gracefully.
Before you jump up and down that I must be a Muslim, I am actually a Baha'i.
Those of the Baha'i faith are, at this time, being heavily persecuted in Iran, their property being confiscated, forced to wear a badge of identifying our religion, our historical places being demolished, and, yes, being executed because we are Baha'is.
The Iranian government is trying to wipe us out.
But not the Muslims!
As it is is the ignorant government that throws the stones.
The Chronicler
BTW: a little study would tell you that true Islam accepts Christianity and Jewisim. They are faiths that came before Islam. They were the lessons that built the ground work for Islam. Islam does not replace nor conquer these religions. It continues them.

Biteme, no one was ever burned at the stake in America. Those accused of witchcraft were hung.
Until well into the 20th century, there were public executions in the US, and they were well attended. I'm quite sure that if they had public executions now, there would be a nice turnout.
Of all the countries that execute underage criminals, the US is the only western democracy that did until less then 20 years ago.
Edit: My history is correct biteme, no person has been burned at the stake in the US. All of the "witches" at Salem were hung, except for one who was crushed by stones. Burning at the stake was a European practice. Maybe YOU need to brush up on history.

I really think that most of you that have posted need to go and do some learning, read up on history before uttering your comments that make you all look so totally and utterly ignorant.
Everyone forgotten who introduced slavery - britain
America only exists because it wiped out a whole nation - indians
less said about vietnam the better.
if you read you will find MANY injustices in the world commited not only by one nation to another nation, but between our own nations people.
As for the 13 year old in iran being stoned to death.... they have their laws and punishment for each crime... if this girl had been found quilty of this punishment who are any of us to say their laws are wrong ?
I beleive in certain parts of china you can be arrested for chewing gum... weird i know ...
America has the death penalty.... i wonder out of curiosity how many of those people executed there you would feel sorry for if you knew their life story... plenty i'm sure
i know stoning to death somebody is not the same as electrocuting them in a chair... but people watch...
how many of us *civilised* westerners do you think downloaded and looked for pictures of the beheadings in iraq ??
like i say, read, learn, and realise that ALL humans are capable of doing some horrific things to others, probably most tragic of all is the fact that we very often do them to the ones who love us most.
PEACE

If an American soldier shot a 13 year old blind girl in a wheelchair in the head, along with her puppy, how quickly would you object to anyone saying the soldier should be punished?
Which brings up an interesting question - there are allegations American soldiers raped and killed a woman - and also killed her family. Do you think American soldiers are a bunch of rapist killers?
Silly boy. You need to work on your rhetorics.

The liberals would label you racist, or "intolerant". The liberals claim to fight for "human rights" but they don't care about the rights of the people living in Iran.
The koran is very specific. Even those among us read it. Those who claim that they want peace read the same words that demand that all muslims kill Christians and Jews.
What is trust among muslims?

Just think of this. How many people in Occidental Christian countries are in favour of the death penalty? It's the same. We are a bunch of idiots, too. And so are those who stone people in Iran. But we are idiots because we are manipulated into believing that killing others is good for our own safety, while it's actually those who manipulate us the ones who put our safety most at risk.

Just making the proclamation that "I have a brain" does not necessarily make it so.
You are a racist or a brainwashed fool if you are to single out the atrocities of one country and their customs over those of any other equally inhuman behaviors that are currently being perpetrated by other countries and cultures.
I would first condemn the torture, execution and inhumanity perpetrated by the government, people and customs of your own country, which are in fact much broader in scope and much crueler in deed then anything done within the borders of Iran.

Fanatical extremism, of any religion, is bad for society at large. Just look at all the horrible things that were done to women and children during the Inquisition. It's truly shocking what people will do when they are convinced that they are absolutely right. Moderation and tolerance are required to make a free society work.

Did it really happen or is this just another hypothetical intended to cast a bad light on muslims?
If the US military dropped bombs on a 13 year old girl in a wheelchair along with her puppy, would anybody be surprised?
