I had this problem a few years ago, went to the doc. We shook hands, my hand was dry. I started explaining the problem, he said Give my your hand again, it was soaking wet. His conclusions was too much stress, not enough exercise. I WAS working in a very stressful situation at the time and getting no exercise. When I got a different boss and started mild exercise (just even walking the dog 20 minutes several days a week) it got a lot better. Not a problem today.

I also have this problem and it drives me mad. I am also not overweight and lead a very healthy lifestyle. My clothes get ruined really quickly because of deodrant stains. I have had every test under the sun and they say that I suffer from hyperhydrosis. Apparantly you can have botox under your arms which blocks the sweat glands, but personally I don't think this is a very healthy option. Sweating is very natural and allows your body to get rid of toxins. You can also have an operation, (which I think is only a temporary solution) so maybe see your Doctor. Don't feel embarrassed about it because hundreds of people suffer from it. I don't know if you get stressed and anxious alot, but if you do this will make you sweat alot more. I do yoga twice a week which helps me relax. I also wear very light clothes in the summer, which keep my underarms aired, I eat lots of healthy fruit and vegetables, drink at least two litres of water per day, swim regularly and put deodrant on my hands and feet. I saw a nutritionist and she advised to cut out dairy, so I now drink soya milk, dont eat cheese etc etc. Making these small changes has helped alot, and although I sweat more than the average person it is not half as bad as it used to be. It may also be worth popping into your local health shop and asking if they do any herbal supplements or alternative medicines. I know that they do because I once asked. ( I cant take them due to being on other medication. Believe me I would of tried them if I could of). I understand what you are going through, and I know what a nightmare it can be, but try and make the above changes. If it is still the same go to the Docs. You may have an underlying medical problem. For example, thyroid problems. That can make you sweat like a beast!!! I wish you all the luck in the world

Ok to everyone on here even the poster.
If something is causing you distress see a doc.
Sometimes if the body functions properly you will sweat, it is one way we rid ourselves of poisons from our pores and keep cool. If there are health problems you will sweat. So the best way to find out is see a doc.
Not necessarily Blood pressure, not necessarily thyroid, but get checked rule out what it's not so you can find out what it is.
Some people sweat when they get nervous or excited.

Do you exercise at all? It's important to perspire regularly, just take yourself for a little bike ride or jog, or maybe a sauna. You'll be training your body to handle heat better. Get through, religiously, at least two litres of mineral water every day, and I find it best to shave my chest and underarms. A good diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables,e very day, and you'll soon be feeling a lot better about this problem.
Good luck.
