I am from the states where we choose to marry a person. I feel if you have arranged marriages and you like the person who you are arranged with, then its fine. But, I firmly believe one should be able to have the chance to fall in love with someone and get to know them in a relationship before marriage.

Both, just depends how is your partner... i have both in my family...my eldest sister has arrange and 2 nd to eldest has love... both been married 13+ yrs now... they have their share of arguments etc but which relationship does not.... so it all depends whom your married to... sometimes love does not last long cuz one is cheating etc or lost interest and arrange can be the same.... there is nothing wrong in either type of marriage.... just make sure your parents are supporting you either way!! in the long run that's what matters... just in case if things are not going so well guess what.... its your parents who will be there to support you and to help both of you out to work things out etc..
A lot of people say that one needs to know the person they are marrying to.... honestly sometimes it feels like that even thought one has been living with their partner.... in some ways they are still strangers.....
So love or arrange both needs commitment, trust, loyalty and love to work it out.... some fall in love before marriage some fall in love after.... all that matters is that they is no divorce and understanding of each other and the marriage is successful!

I prefer a marriage born from love but arranged marriages have been known to work out. Depends on your circumstances and what you are looking for in a partner.

The word "marriage" is fine..but when u prefix "Love" OR "Arranged" to that ........that is when it becomes a Gamble... Yes...a 'Gamble'... if it clicks, it clicks...& if not it can really get worse. Many love marriages work very well & many arranged marriages dont AND Vice-versa.... But what i have seen& feel that ..."love marriges work well BEFORE marriage" &" arranged marriages work well AFTER marriage"...get it...!!!!!!!!

love marriage of course. How you gonna spend the rest of your life with someone you don't love? That is tormenting. Already not all love marriage last, let alone arranged marriaged.

Dear Nisha, both are fine provided u make enough research before getting into any relationship. marriage is such a relationship where heart rules over head....it should actually be the reverse. best of luck
