Just take a minute and imagine you found absolute proof that there is no god, but are unable to share it with anyone. What would you think about other people, about society and culture in general?

I think I would feel very let down by the human race. We have spent YEARS trying to convince everyone that there IS a God and that there is one true religion...but in the end, there is really nothing. So that means that someone conjured up that idea long ago and people have been believing it ever since. Are we really that stupid? Are we really that gullible? I would hope not... That would also mean that any faith that we had would be out the door, as well as leaning on something spiritual when in need. I guess that means that we would have to rely more on ourselves for everything. Not being able to tell anyone about it? Wow...that would certainly be hard. I think I would just have to sigh and shake my head at all the poor people that keep on believing but don't know the truth.

No one has got any proof for the existence or nonexistence of God.

Just look at various cultures in the world today. They all worship God in some form or the other depending on the surroundings they lived. Or just look at the creations - Can all these come into being without a cause or wisdom? Inability to search for that great wisdom ends up in atheism.

I am a Catholic and I still question whether there is a God or not. I have had many a conversation on how we were put on this earth and how we evolved. If we go by what we know with religion, we were created by God. But if we look to the scientific world, we evolved from cromagnam. Both ways are possible. In my opinion, we were brought here by aliens and I think the alien who brought us here is called God. What else would you call this being. Its up to you, to believe whatever you think is right in your mind. If there is a God, then great, but if there isn't then thats great too. I know I exist and however I got here is great. The only thing you have to do is live every day as if its your last and enjoy every moment you are on this earth. There have been many arguments about who started life on this earth and many wars over it. So if you really know, keep it to yourself.

God doesn't exist out of proof, exactly; it's more faith that holds up beliefs. But I get what you mean, so I'll go with it.

I don't know, I'd think of this world as a lot more hopeless and pointless. Like, what's the use of living anymore if you don't have a reason to live for except stupid things that can be taken away from you in a matter of seconds? I'd lose a lot of will to live, I think.

people--
There are people who simply drift along, searching for somewhere they belong to in this world. Looking for a place to call their own, they want to know where they stand in life. Years go by, but the answers might still be unknown to them, even til their very last breath on their deathbeds. Maybe that's what this journey called life is all about.

But living life is never a waste. When we have somebody to love and something to hope for, we learn to embrace the true beauty of life. Cherish every moment of your life because once it's gone, it will never come back. Sometimes you miss it so badly that it hurts inside.

society--with or w/o god, the society will still be a big mess.
culture--culture exist due to human beings, nothing to do with god.

For Atheists: Here's the proof of the fact that there is no God.
For Everyone Else: Skip step one.

Proof of the Fact that There is no God:

Step One:

Prove the fact that there is no God.
(This is trivial since there is no God.)

Step Two:

Challenge anyone to try to disprove
the fact that there is no God.

Step Three:

Conclude with absolute certainty:

There is no God.

Period.

I have absolute proof there is no God. It's called reason. It doesn't make logical sense there needs to be. Principle of Parsimony.

I can't share it because those who still cling to their religions can't accept a reality without a God. It's hard for a person to totally change their view of the world. Instead they'd prefer to get defensive and close their ears to the views of others.

I believe that your question is faulty from the start. fact is that we will always see god in things we can not understand (our soul, the big bang). so even if we did prove there was a big bang, there will always be a god before the big bang. and if we prove that there was another universe before the big bang, then god will be at the origins of that universe. it´s a vicious circle. it never ends.
but let´s play pretend. i think that people need a god. i would never admit to the world that i have found the proof of the nonexistence of god. and if i did, many would not believe me. when people don´t know anything else, they turn to god, whether it is an entity or not. so i don´t believe god could ever come out of the question, and if he did, i would never admit it.

Because I am I cannot imagine your question or even play out your senerio.

Even the ones who BELIEVE that there is no God... by doing so acknowledges that there is something not to believe in. Therefore bringing it into existence. No matter what we may call it, him or her or whatever.

I will share a story with you.

One that my mother shared with me...

One time on a journey up into the mountains to visit her cousins.
NIght fall came. Her uncle asked her cousins to go out and get some supplies... they would have to ride their horses out in the dark.
My mother said to them before they went are you not afraid it is dark out their...aren't your afraid of the Devil.

They responded "Devil.... what is a Devil?"

Mum didn't explain... they went on and returned with supplies.

To answer the other part of your question - This is what I think about other people, about society and culture in general.

We are beautiful and amazing.

x peace & love

If I had absolute proof there wasn't a God I still believe I would be the same person. The basic things in religion are things that should be within us.it would be inward out, where with God it is outward and in to our heart.
I also believe that if there were no God that humans would creat one.
