I agree. The whole Portugese team sucks. Figo should be bunned from footballing forever for what he did in games against Holland and England too..

And if Christiano Ronaldo feels like it is ok to cheat and hurt others in unsportsman like facion even own club-mates, why does he play for Man. United and not for "his country"?

It's in C Ronaldo's nature - if you watch him in the Premiership he is always diving or trying to wind other players up - and has a bad reputation for it. Same with Figo at all the clubs he has represented - it's a shame that they both do this as they are very skillful and have no need to cheat. I think in the case of the Rooney sending off that Ronaldo did not actually cheat - it was bad sportsmanship and he was deliberately trying to provoke a reaction from Rooney to get him carded (he knows Rooney's temperament and knows he is easily wound up) - so what he did was not cheating, but was disgraceful as he had no need to get involved other than to try and get Rooney booked or sent off. I have never liked Ronaldo and know he will be hated in England now - I think he will be off to Real Madrid. As for Rooney - he's got to learn to turn the other cheek.

Come on.. football is a GAME.. Winning is everything and in the WC, advancing to the level is the most crucial thing... regardless what you want to say... C Ronaldo did a great job... well for Rooney.. too bad.. its just his luck.. try again in 4 years time.. The new Manager MUST find a striking partner with Rooney to win the WC for the 2nd time.. Bravo Portugal..

Hey Bryan, don't listen the most the other rubbish. Fact is Rooney stumbled for his footing and the ref saw that and held back. Nasty Man U scum ronaldo ran into a situation that was'nt his and his mate told im to F off. When he walked away he did a wink and a shush motion. He should leave Man U and head th Real because all of England will boo him. Except Man U 'fans' but then they are dumb!

well no actually.i'm an england fan and was upset when they lost.i watch the game rooney purposely kicked the portugese player balls and ronaldo complained and rooney made things worse by pushing ronaldo and causing a stir,he deserved to get the red card for what he did.in fact ronaldo is his Man U teammate, can't believe he lost his temper like that.rooney has anger management problems he needs to overcome it or else it could cause him his career.trust me,no managers or teamates can handle a hot tempered player, even if you're talented but if u have attidude problems, you won't end up anywhere.its about time rooney is given a wake up call before its too late

No.
He maybe did try his best to wind Rooney up but a more mature player would have shrugged it off & not reacted.
Do not tell me that given the chance English players would not have tried to do the same to their opposition.

ronaldo was a big girls handbag, the portugese players did everything in their power to remove our best players and the ref was just low life bad decision making scum who should be banned from ever reffing another game ever and that includes sunday league games. And rooney really should of been a bit sharper before he lost his temper they just forced him into losing it.

when Ronaldo comes back to England or if he is stupid enough to come back he will be shunned and seriously hurt on the Man Utd Training ground. I would love to be there

Just checked my Oxford English Dictionary for the definition of "cheat". It says " see Christian Ronaldo."
