1. From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts."
2. Select the "Mail" tab.
3. Click the "Add" button.
4. From the Add menu, click "Mail."
5. In the text box labeled Display Name, type your name and click "Next."
6. In the Email Address box, type your Yahoo! Mail address (be sure to include "@yahoo.com") and click "Next."
7. Under "My incoming mail server is a..." select "POP3."
8. Type "pop.mail.yahoo.com" in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) Server box.
9. Type "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server box.
10. Click "Next."
11. In the Account Name box, type your Yahoo! Mail ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
12. In the Password box, type your Yahoo! Mail password.
13. If you want Outlook Express to remember your password, check the "Remember password" box.
14. Do not check the boxes labeled "Log on using Secure..."
15. Click "Next."
16. Click "Finish."

yahoo does not allow you to open a POP 3 account using outlook. It charges for the POP mails. Earlier it was free but not now.

Messenger in Yahoo Mail isn't loading amazing. I attempt signing in even though it would not do it the 1st time or 2nd or third. whilst it finally shows me on line it says I have no contacts on line whilst i understand that there are human beings on line. I attempt sending messages and the guy never gets it. they attempt sending me and that i never obtain. this is whilst it retains me signed in long adequate to purpose sending messages. commonly signs and indications me out interior of a couple of minutes, however human beings say I look on line on their touch lists. I extremely have 2 yahoo money owed and am having this concern on the two money owed on my laptop (works ok at artwork). i attempted each and all of the stairs stated above on the two browsers. i began out having this concern 4 days in the past. i'm employing a Mac OS X 10.6.8 on the two Safari 5.a million.9 and recent version of Chrome.

no dude thats not possible as far as I have tried...
coz both of them use diferrent server topologies
