A lot of times this is caused by out of date drivers(don't ask me why, it doesn't make sense to me either) but games will just suddenly stop working even without me making any changes to the system. Downloading and installing the latest video drivers usually fixes it.

If all your 3D games or graphics intensive games are not working, even after updating your drivers it's possible that the fan on your GPU has failed, which usually entails you replacing your graphics card.

If it is not a viruse as u said...
than u just need to uninstall ur game
and reinstall it (after rebooting ur PC)..
and try to install in a different location and drive...
that'd be enough

Suggest you to re-install the game from scratch. Also double-check the display driver.

the problem is wit ur ram.. ram's crashes usually when u play games cos they can't manage all the memory u need to play a graphically good game.. i suggest u to change or increase ur ram..
