Away:
- Gordan Farmar. They already have Smush Parker...Yes he collapsed in the playoffs but so did Leandro Barbosa last season...and look what happened this recent playoffs.
- Andrew Bynum. I don't think he has the potiential everyone thinks he does. Plus they already have Kwame Brown AND Chris Mihm developing.
- Aaron McKie: He's old. He can't really do anything anymore. And that's pretty obvious to Phil Jackson because he only played him eight minutes a game last year. Get a second round pick for him and I'll be happy.
For:
- Rashard Lewis. It probably won't happen, but he would be a very nice compliment to Kobe.
- Kyle Korver...if they can pry him away from Philadelphia. If the Lakers need anything, it's a small forward who can shoot.
THE DEAL:
If this deal happens it'd probably be the biggest of this off-season. Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown(and maybe a first round pick) for KG. If this deal happens and nothing else, the Lakers will have still had a successful off-season.

I personally believe that Phil Jackson likes the roster the way it is. Yes, the Lakers were in need of a PG last year so we had to pick up Smush. With the Lakers picking Jordan Farmar, it looks like the Lakers are willing to trade Smush. Although there are not many PGs who have around the same salary as Smush, so the Lakers may look to trade a few people (i.e. Parker, Cook, possibly Sign George and Trade) for a guard who plays hard defense and has a good outside shot.
FYI
Sam Cassell just agreed to sign a two year deal to stay with the Clippers. Everyone tries to use the Lakers as their bargaining chip!!

The Lakers have signed vladimir radmonovich, now they have a LEGIT three point threat when kobe is doubled he can kick it out to vlad for the open 3. If the lakers make a trade, make it for a small forward, somebody like Kyle Korver, James Jones, or Josh Childress. I think Al Harrington from Atlanta is a free agent, i would love to go get him. As for the PG position, Sean Banks, Sam Cassell, Speedy Claxton, and Bobby Jackson all have interest in the Lakers.

The Lakers just acquired Vladimir Radmonovic.
As for Garnett, he is staying in Minnesota.
Word has it that Al Harrington will sign with the Indiana Pacers. That's why Indiana made such a weak attempt to resign Peja.
