every time i,ve 2 use add hardware frm control panel to restore it,,, ihave window xp professional,,,,,,,,,ram -128mb,, how 2 restore cd-rom icon permanentely

I think ur Cd rom plug must not be tight or not properly attached...look for it...
ur question is not clear enough so I can only see this problem
