Is Osama Bin Laden really the head of Al Queda or just a figurehead? Does he exist or is he just recordings?

It really doesn't matter what he is, or who he is, only what he is perceived as. You'd think that with all his plotting he wouldn't have time to go around hiding everywhere and making all those tapes, wouldn't you? To answer your question, Al Queda has a few leaders, but Osama Bin Laden just seems to be the most prolific. He's also been a target of most of the worlds agencies for a long while now, so it's not just recordings.

well put it this way...the guy the whole world is "apparantly" afraid of and has millions of supporters has gained nothing at all and what is his his problem with the west because as a Muslim I'm telling you that Islam is a faith of pure Peace.(watch the Islam Channel http://www.islamchannel.tv/ for proof or http://www.islam-guide.com/ ) The Bin Laden phenomena has helped the interests of American,British and Israeli interests a 100% more than it has any muslims or extermists(there are extremists in every religion by the way) The proof WE have is that Bin Laden is and old friend of Bush senior.Bin Laden was brought up amongst the arab world in America too. Al Qaeda is a jack-a-nory story which has been because ot can be- devised to fool the foolish..thats us, into beleiving that one man and his merry men want to rule the world!seems like hypocrisy at its best.Take a closer look at the situation and since 9/11 who has a hand in Oil Fields, Poppy Fields (dont undestimate drugs..it is a multi billion$ industry) who has a firm foor or two in the middle east?? whos OSAMA BIN LADEN....well i still don't kow but i know what i think and about the recordings...I am a sound production student and believe you me, there IS technology out there that can munipulate sound so much that I could sound like your mother!!! Bin Laden could have died years ago , we always see similiar pictures of him in the news and since his families bush links his family probly wudn't have minded letting bush use his image if he was dead for a couple of dollers..well he is supposed to have i think 70 or 80 siblings! differnt mothers obviously!!!

Osama Bin Laden lives in flesh and blood.

He is not a monster as USA declared him to be. He was a peace loving merchant of Afghanisthan, who was not blind to the racisim that the world practised. He turned a blind eye, untill the USA started their tirade against the muslim world, by first starting the little game in Afghanistan by giving them guns to fight the
" terrorists" who were nobody but the noble and disbanded tribals who chose to arise against US policies, which were very familiar tothe British East India Company's tactics in occupied India, of
DIVIDE AND RULE.

Then the US went on to give these nobleman a bad name, and they were declared Terrorists, instead of the Jehadis who they really were.Then came the Iran mission, and then Kuwait affair,
the Invasion of Iraq, the current ongoing discussion on fate of Former President of Iraq, Respected Sir SADDAM HUSSEIN.

The brave Osama Bin Laden is the frontier figure, really existing. He is bestowed with the faith of all the brethern of Muslim countries, many of whom do not want to openly suppost him.

Osama has a thorough network working, a system that would put the worlds best MNC systems to shame. Osama has access to unlimited resources of Money, politican support,
information of USA that even BUSH, CIA, FBI would get 10 to 20 minutes later than it reaches Osama.

Al Queeda is the name of the organisation,that Osama heads. Due to security reasons, and not to take a chance of being betrayed, Osama observes the strictest of secret hiding places, which are changed from time to time, known only to a handful of his commanders.

According to his doctrines, he is on the right side of action, as only because the Islamic world was threatened by the West who were interested in the oil rich East, the US comitted the heinous crimes against all those who stood in their way. Whether that islamic country had really done anything wrong or ot did not mattter to the US at all.The final fate of weapons matter in IRAQ proves that US attacks at their whim and fancy.

Long ive persons like Osama who have dedicated their lives for a noble cause, according to them. I am not saying support Osama or Support the Us, I say, if you want to lead, to be a leader, then take OSAMA as an example.

Osama Bin Laden is one of the members of a huge family from Saudi Arabia and if you want better insight to the whole scenario, if you truly are interested, then read the book called 'Inside the Kingdom' written by one of his [many] brother's wives, Carmen Bin Laden. It was an eye opening revelation for me, I just couldn't believe the mindset of these fundamentalist elitists... I mean, in today's world... who thinks there is a pre-destined, subjective role for the female population.... who believes that women are only around to please men and that their faces [nor even an inch of their bodies!] are allowed to be seen by anyone other than their immediate families? How crazy and cruel!

Some people are so small minded, and cannot think of anything better to do, than try to make themselves look big and important. Their ego needs the attention. Some are just petty criminals, others need to be seen in the Press all the time. When they are ignored they make a statement (like 9/11).

He is the leader. However, I believe he has been severely wounded or maimed and therefor won't allow his picture to be taken. It is imperative that his followers continue to believe he is their immortal, all knowing, fearless leader. Of which he is none.
