It's a question I always wondered about.
If you are family oriented and hardly do anything to displease your parents, how would you go about to tell them that you are datig an older guy?
Older, I mean, more then five years older.

If you are family oriented and hardly do anything to displease your parents, how would you go about to tell them that you are datig an older guy?
Older, I mean, more then five years older. Around, a ten year difference. I'm not going to put ages up, it's just for future reference.

If your really family oriented then there really isn't much of a problem, You should be able to speak with family members about the age difference, your family would then be able to help you on your decision. If you have really good family values and communication then they would probably want to meet your older man, There must be some reason why you want to date him, They would probably want to know him too. Then decide if the age difference is really a problem or not?

Ias long as he makes you happy ? is he older than your dad...and by the way how old are you if in your 20's and he is 40 no problems and make sure he has no hidden baggage.

Well it kind of depends on your age..if your a 14yr old with a 19yr old..thats weird.

If your 20 with a 25yr old..thats totally acceptable

My advice- Just be honest, say that you like this person and that age is just a number.
