My wife and I were driving to a Sci-Fi Convention. It was a terrible day. The route was being hit by a snow storm. At some point we found ourselves behind a van barely creeping along a two-lane highway. As I looked in the rear view mirror, I saw a semi-truck barreling down at us. My wife can't explain how we managed to avoid being run over by this semi. We didn't hit the van. Once we got into a parking lot and came to a complete stop, the entire compact car was filled with scent of my late mother's perfume.

Freaky.

It's happened one other time but not so dire of circumstances.

She also spoke to me the night of her death. After receiving the call from ICU that she had taken a turn for the worse, I was driving like a madman to get there. I heard her say to me, "slow down. I've already passed. No sense in you joining me tonight." I showed up at the ICU ward. She had been dead when they called me. Throughout the next week my relatives were amazed at my fortitude planning the funeral and dealing with my mom's death. I was the last person to see my mother's body before they closed the coffin for the last time. I felt as though she had whispered "it's okay. Everyone's had a chance to grieve. Give yourself a moment." I did break down. Five minutes later, I slipped into the family limo and remained calm through the rest of the graveside service.

That is lovely that you still feel your dad around you.
My mum died almost ten years ago. She missed seeing me get married and having my two littlies, but when they were born I had the distinct feeling she had already kissed them b4 she sent them to me..and I often wondered if she didn't play a part in sending me my husband too.
I suffered a miscarriage last month and the same night I dreamt that I was looking everywhere for my mum because I knew that she had my daughter with her and I wanted my daughter back. When I woke up the next morning I felt certain that the baby I lost must have been a girl and my mum was trying to tell me it was ok because she had her there.
I don't think those we love ever leave us.

My grandmother is around me all the time. When i'm stressing i feel her pat my shoulder which brings peace of mind. I have also had a sense of being yelled at by my uncle and aunt. I was driving like a lunatic when i thought I heard someone say slow down. I shrugged if off since I was alone in the car. Then I heard two voices yell slow down now. I listened thank God. The road was washed out and I barely got stopped.

Yeah...my grandpa died before I was born, and about 8 years ago we moved into this really nice house... and everyday my parents argued about money for the house and were praying for the loan to come through... then one day out of no where the house started to smell like incense and there was an ad for a company that provides a loan that was suitable for my parents. My parents applied for the loan and for the next month the scent of incense was all over the house, and then one day we got the loan for the house and then the next day the scent of incense was gone. We believe that he was watching over us and helped us get the house.

Well maybe he was, my dad was a alcoholic, he died from an alcohol related disease when I was 16 and he was only in his 40s. I feel his death brought him peace he had lots of problems with his family growing up, and now he is a good man watching over me, better than he ever did when he was alive. I think when I cry, he hears me. Its one thing I have to look forward to one day, that I will get to see him again and be his little bear again.

Not like holding me up on a plane or anything, but when my foster dad died, I was so deeply in grief for months and then I started to have dreams where he came to me and let me know he was all right and I recovered quickly after that.
