Hi All:

I have a female friend that I've known for a while, but since I haven't saw her in a while (a year maybe; I moved out of town and just happened to see her when I went back for old business), I just recently found out she is in a lesbianic relationship, and she even proved it by pointing out bi/les women who weren't even with anybody when we were at a bar in my neighborhood (but not a gay bar, mind you) and she pointed out 3 people in 5 minutes, and one of the girls she pointed out proved true when she started kissing another woman!

My question is this: How do people identify gay/les/bi just by looking at them? Granted most of us know most "bottom males" wear tights, have a lisp and maybe even wear a bit of cosmetics, but there wasn't ANY telltale signs in any of the women she pointed out and I am just wondering about this 'phenomenon' that she herself can't explain.

Thanks Nikole, but I did ask her (cf. last sentence) and she was like, "I don't know, it's an instict I guess but it always comes out right".

It's in a look that lingers more then it should, or a look that doesn't hesitate when I look to long, or a smile she gives that says 'uhmm hmm I know you know girl'.
It's in the second glance (the one where she quickly takes a second look), it's in the body language or how she touches her companion, or not.
It's so many subtle nuances that happen in a split second.

I am straight looking/acting but wherever I go, I'm 'called out' by at least one woman.
Gay-dar or not, some of us just know it when we see it.
p.s. I have been wrong, but not very often, some straight women can be veeery friendly to other women they've just met.

E-a million, E-2 etc by E-9. then you definately have WO-a million, WO-2 and WO-3. After that, you've O-a million, O-2 etc by O-10. Now, in case you want to entice close what those potential, it will be counted upon the branch of service you're speaking about. contained in the Air stress, you've Airman person-friendly, Airman, Airman first-type, Sergeant, team Sergeant, Technical Sergeant, draw close Sergeant, Senior draw close Sergeant, and finally chief draw close Sergeant. Then the WO's or warrant officials, yet there aren't any contained in the Air stress, became once, yet no longer any more. The for officials, you've second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier prevalent, major prevalent, Lieutenant prevalent, and finally prevalent. each and every branch of the protection stress has their own names for each paygrade, besides the undeniable fact that the paygrades are all an same.

You mean they weren't wearing sandwich boards? Wow, that's some neat trick :)

If you're straight, how do you know when a girl is interested in you?

Is it in the way her gaze dips when your eyes meet, only to return? The way she starts playing with her hair? the way her lips purse and her eyes widen and seem to brighten up?

It's called body language. Same is true for the special sense that is Gaydar. That's how your friend could pick out the lesbians in a room. That and she might've met them at a Gay/Lesbian watering hole, the week before :)

Dude I have this issue too, I just don't know. I asked my bi girl friend about it and she really has no clue either. We both just see people as people, different living things with their own views and lifes. It can make it hard when trying to find a date, or so I've heard. Unless someone is flaming you really don't know. Sterotypes are untrue, and many lesbian and bi girls don't fit them anyways. My friend is bi (as I've said) and nobody ever guesses it, they think lesbian or straight, kind of freaks people out when she tells them she is bi, funny to watch.

ask her. gaydar is a myth, you can't tell what people are into sexually just by looking at them. stereotypes have limited accuracy.
