I am currently residing in Japan, and well.... to be able to distinguish these three nationalities or any other nationalities apart are simple. Learn how to open your eyes. Why don't you become friends with various types of people. I think that is a good start.

They look the same to people who don't many of them. I'm from Silicon Valley, and there are a lot of asians. I know how to distinguish between them. They don't all look the same

Koreans and Japanese look quite similar - fairer skin than Chinese. Between the 2, Koreans have broader chin. Japanese nod their heads when talking - habitually.
