Yes, I'm aware that it's an American right to do this, so please don't immediately say that. This isn't simply a pro-choice vs. pro-life question. I want to know how you FEEL about these protests and the impact it has on EVERYONE involved.

No, I don't feel that it's ok for pro-life activists to protest outside of abortion clinics. The choice to have an abortion is a private and personal one. In most cases, the women who decide to have abortions already feel emotionally exhausted and weighed down not only because of their decision, but also the factors contributing to their decision - family, boyfriend/husband's influence, society's view, financial burden, religious conflict, etc. When pro-life activists protest outside of clinics, I have never seen a case where they do not verbally assualt the women entering them. There is only one reason to protest outside of an abortion clinic, and that is to shame and embarrass those who choose to visit them. It is not a protest in these cases, it is a moral and emotional lynching. Protests have their time and place, and to keep our right of "peaceful" protest valid, all who choose to protest need to realize and practice this idea.

No I think it is unfair. Most women going into an abortion clinic are not using it as a form of birth control. You don't know the reason they are going there. They could have been raped. They could just be dumb and not have used contraceptive (or maybe they did, I got pregnant twice on birth control which is how i got my two kids). Regardless it is already a sad time and to have all those people out there isn't going to change someones mind, they might just go home and kill themselves. They need to kind a better way. I am not pro-life, but I am not cool with abortions either....I just read another answer on here and why the just out of cusriosity what the hell makes Mrs. Mojo think people have a "passion" suctioning babies out of people? So people who work in forensics enjoy looking at dead bodies? People in the military enjoy killing people? That is the dumbest **** I have ever heard and I can only wish on you that you have to be in a position where you have to decide whether or not to have an abortion, then maybe you will loose some of that self-righteous snugness you seem to have blanketed yourself in.

I'm pro-life, but as far as everbody else I'm pro-choice. The reason I say this is because I believe everybody has their unique situations, but as for me If I impregnate somebody I would want them to have the child. Pro-lifers have blown up abortion clinics and that is funny (in a sick way) in and of itself. I got into a heated debate about this one with my english teacher. He's a Dr. at law and I'm a snot nosed student. He insists that no woman should ever get an abortion under any circumstances. I tell him all the mitigating reasons why and when it should be allowed such as situations involving rape, possible death of the mother etc... and he waves my arguments off because these cases represent the minority. so if it happens to only a few it doesn't happen at all and all the scenarios should be dismissed. BS!

I went with a friend who was in need of a friend, and the way the protesters spoke to us I will never forget. I do not believe in abortion but I do believe no change can come from hatred. If you do go try kindness not harsh pictures, and evil words. You might be able to save a life and gain an meaning in yours. The one thing that I didn't understand when we were there is what message was being yelled at us? Think got no one had a gun. Then a woman like come over crying and begging us not to go in and that just added guilt. (needed guilt.) Its just I feel their could be a better way! Good Luck , I hope all works out.

Well I'm pro ;life and my husband is not.. So when my son turned 2 months old and we found out I was expecting I did call to go to a clinic. I didn't do it.. But just them being there was enough to show my husband I could do this is I thought it was right.. Not there is no way out of this mess god I wish the old alley days where here again. The protesters have no business being there.. This is between her, her husband, family, and god.. What can they really say to her to make her feel better.. here's a check for 200k now you can feed him till he's 18..Bottom line.. I don't think they are there to help anyone.. So why be there

It's not only okay, it's necessary. When pro-lifers offer information and help outside abortion mills, babies' lives are saved and women are spared from a lifetime of physical problems and emotional pain. The people selling abortions are not going to give unbiased information. They are going to do what it takes to make the sale. If you doubt this, read the testimony of former abortionists and employees here:

You might as well ask, "Do you think Germans should have protested outside concentration camps?" Wherever injustice occurs, wherever innocent people are put to death, people need to speak up and do what they can to stop it. If you don't believe that abortion is a holocaust, take a look at:

The act of protest is very much an American right protected by the Constitution. Those who protest, in the true (non inlfammatory sense of protest) are trying to do one or two things.
One is to educate the public about the alternatives to abortion. . The other is to intercede with those considering aborting their baby and to offer them alternatives to abortion. Some of these women are scared, feeling they are without options or alternatives to abortion, and frequently these clinics do not fully educate their clients about alternatives. Nor do they offer education about the physical and psychological sequelae of aborting a baby. Few offer follow up counseling for their clients. To offer follow-up counseling acknowledges that everything does not end with the end of the pregnancy.
And, NO, I am not talking so positively about ALL who protest. Those who present huge posters of aborted babies, splatter blood on those trying to enter the building or support bombing clinics or murdering doctors who perform abortions are guilty of anything from imposing horrible experiences on all who area assaulted by their show, to horrible acts no less horrible than what they protest.
Yes, I am pro-life, but murder is wrong, be it the murder of a physician or clinic worker, or of an infant whose life is ended before it had the chance to fulfill its' purpose.

Yes. I am sure that the pro-life activists have the same passion for what they believe in as those who work inside the abortion clinics and believe it's right for them to assist pregnant females in suctioning out in pieces the baby that is within their womb. As far as the impact Pro-life vs Pro-choice has on everyone involved...that is something that will never be decided in our lifetime.

Well, it is their right, but I think that they should go get a job or a hobby or something and leave people alone. Just because a woman is going to one of these places does not necessarily mean she is getting an abortion, a lot of clinics also do prenatal care, birth control, VD screenings, and a lot more. Some people are just so simple minded it's not funny, but what can you do. I know SHOOT THEM. No, I know that's wrong, and besides, then we'd be just like them wouldn't we. Well, anyway, like I said, some people should get a hobby. Like I said earlier, people spend way too much time worrying about other peoples business instead of their own.

I personally think it is ok because we are free in this country, but I don't respect the people who get out of control, they only make them selves look like the sinners not the peacful girl going to the clinic, didnt Jesus say, whom ever is without sin cast the first stone. I don't beleve abortions are the "right" thing to do personally, but I don't judge those girls at all. I only pray that some day I won't ever be faced with a horrible decision that could ruin my life and on top of that be called horrble names and have pipe bombe thrown at me because of a choice I have made. I leave it to my creator, (whomever that may be) to decide how I should pay for the bad or difficult decsions I will make in my life.
