If all else fails, do a system restore- to when McAfee was not installed on your hardrive. Try add/remove programs and see if it is listed. If it is not, then maybe it's not installed. You may have a corrupt file that is preventing you from uninstalling. Maybe try re-installing it and then unistalling it again.

Enter into the safe mode and then try to cleanse ur computer of any malwares. U can try it by online scanning. Once after ensuring everything ok try uninstalling it again.

if u hv downloaded it try to take a fresh download again, or u may uninstall the norton and then install it again to solve the problem.

try deleting norton using shift-del and then try installing mc afee .if this doesnt work download uninstall manager from download.com and then uninstall norton
