My son gradually brought a computer for my bedroom into the house. My computer has had problems since he did this. Could this wireless computer have an affect on the home one?

Assuming you mean that they are both accessing the internet wirelessly, no another wireless computer will not affect the other. The problem must be with something else.

If you have wireless phones, make sure that they are not at the 2.4 GHz frequency, as this WILL affect the wireless signals on computers.

By cordless, I assume you mean Keyboard and Mouse, etc. I doubt that very much. If you mean a Wireless Internet, then no, it won't have any effect on your dial up service. If you mean, you now have 2 wireless internet computers, then YES, it will slow down your internet a little, but honestly, it shouldn't be noticable, at least that much.
