Baseballs pitching great, Satchel Paige, use to always say, 'be careful what you wish for, you may get it'.
I am very cautious what I wish or hope for. It may come true.
It was said, after Paige entered into the major leagues to play baseball in the post Jackie Robinson years, Paige was named rookie of the year when he played his first year in baseball.
Paige was in his forties when he won the 'Rookie of the Year' title. Satchel Paige felt ridiculous, but he sure could pitch.

I believe that every decision we make has been pre-determined. Every Path we walk has been chosen for us. It is our choice however, and our Purpose, to make that Path as smooth or as difficult as we desire. Fate presents us with the bricks, Destiny gives us the mortar. It is up to us to find the right combination so our true destinies can be fulfilled. We are but threads in the Web of Life, and the pattern that is woven for us is Destiny.
I believe in Dreams. We were given the ability to Dream, to Hope, to Love. We all have Dreams, but most of us are unable to allow the Dreams to become reality. We doubt, we hide, we do not believe.
Believe in your Dreams. Do not ignore them. Nurture them, treasure them, never forget them. Keep Dreaming. When one Dream becomes reality, accept it without hesitation, thank the Spirits, then move on to the next. Dreams are part of us. The Dream Weavers and Web Weavers work constantly, side by side. They give us the choices and the opportunities ... it is our decision to accept or reject these choices.

I do believe in hopes and dreams. I am an amiture boxer that is undefeated. But boxing isn't popular in my area, so finding a manager to take me pro is almost impossible, and I don't know were to start. My dream is to go pro and win a title, so I can stay home and train full time and take care of my son. He is 6, and I have raised him on my own since he was an infant. He is motivation, and the reason I have not lost a fight yet.

yeah...many many hopes and dreams, even more than future plans :)). but they're the kind of stuff that can never come true, you know. for example, i wanna be a rock star to sing in a front of a crowd who would be screaming for me 8->...but i'm 16 and can't even play a guitar:)), no one to teach me.......another one of my dreams was of becoming a famous writer, i used to write poems :)...something kinda sad happened, it turned out to be the thing that made my poetry tick :))...so i i haven't been able to write anything in about 2 months except for 2 things i hate...and of course i dream of finding my true love but day by day, this dream becomes more and more blurred...so, yeah i have dreams, but i don't reallly hope in them coming true
and i don't undersatnd 1 thing, why does everyone say follow ur dreams?? what if someone wants to be an artist and doesn't have ANY talents?...sometimes, it's really not worth fighting for them.

Yes, they are in the works. Several have been accomplished, but I still find myself making new dreams once the old ones come full circle.
An old Hindu proverb tells me, "If I want to make God laugh, I'll tell everyone my plans."
This doesn't mean I am not working on conquering new territory as far as success. I just keep these dreams to myself until they have materialized.
I'm not Hindu, by the way. I'm just cultured, open and well traveled.

Well I use to believe in hope but I gave up on it cause I hoped that my life would get better and that I would stop thinking about suacide but two years has passed now and my life hasen't changed at all so no I don't believe in hopes or dreams sorry

i once did have but i found that the challenge of life was to much to bare and would destroy any minute hope or dream. now i walk the pavement of life alone and without hope looking for the thing that could change my life for a better and peaceful chance to spend the twenty cents i just found.

this reminds me of a saying... never laugh at people's dreams. people who dont have dreams, dont have much. i ahve many hopes and dreams. of success and of finding true love. of being famous. dream... keep dreaming even if it seems far fetched. and work hard and pray hard. believe taht they will come true. they will....
also be careful what u wish for... think twice before u wish for anything

dreams..make what seems impossible..just two steps away...i believe that dreams help us to achieve our GOALS...if we don't dream we will not do anything..for example:the student who dreams of being a well known doctor..will work hard till he achieves his dream...if he wouldn't have dreamed of this we wouldn't have worked for it...you know there is a well known disney song which discuss this..
