Actually I don't recommend you to open email from people you don't know. Usually they are spammers. It email come with attachment file like .exe don't open it because it might have a virus. I got tons of these email everyday.
However if you really want to find out whose email address this thing belong to. You can check out website like
www.theemailfinder.com. You have to pay for the service fee though.
There is no guarantee that you can get accurate infomation,since it is so easy to get email from anywhere these day and there no way to varify that you are that actual person anyway.

I would block the emails and who ever is sending them will eventually quit.

Are they emailing you or Instant messaging you? If it's email and you don't know them, is what they're sending you offensive? or is it just trash? If it's IM's you should just block them. If it's email and you don't know them you can report them to your ISP..Good luck

if you parse the headers from the email it will tell you where it came from.
look up "whois" and "trace route" in google.
