I have a friend, I shall call her R. I have known R for maybe sixth months. She is 12, i'm 14. I might be bisexual and so may she. I have had strong suspicions that she may like me in a way I don't like her in. She once said " I wonder what would happen if we kissed... "! She is always huggy even though she knows i'm not the huggy person and gets too close for comfort sometimes. I was wondering if any of you have an idea to let her down gently and not have her hate me because I would like for us to remain friends and nothing more.

Ok, it sounds like your both at an age where your exploring your sexual orientation, and thats normal but dont spend all your time worrying about this. If your bi it will come naturally so dont force it, your fairly young and it could be a fase..for both of you. Have you thought that your friend may be just curious or just an over friendly person, she is awfully young and is most probably confused. Id say leave it unsaid for now, your not sure that she is bi or that she is attracted to you, you only have suspicion, if you ask her and your wrong it will be akward between you so just let it play out, if she gives you more definite signs later on, like if she actually tells you or tries to kiss you, just tell her nicely that you dont think of her that way.
Good Luck!

just tell her that when she gets really huggy it makes you uncomfortable because you don't like to get that physically close with any of your friends. if she's seen that you don't do this it shouldn't really hurt her.
she might not be bi actually she may just be young and looking to experiment if she's bi and i guess trying to use you as an opportunity.
