Dear Kaylee,
What would God think of it? You have asked a good question. I wonder if God put that question in your heart to ask? You sound like a person who has a sense of right and wrong. I would guess reading erotic stories bothers you.
Our conscience is a wonderful part of us and without it we could rationalize away anything we cared to do. But just between you and me, a person who takes care of their conscience make this old world a better place. This person is a better woman, better mother, better sister, better wife, and better grandmother. This person has the power to free themselves from the burden of "feeling" wrong.
The world's best selling and most widely distributed book is the Bible, with an estimated 2.5 billion copies sold since 1815. There is a verse that has come to me many times. It is found in a chapter of this book, Proverbs 23:7. "As a man/woman thinketh in his heart, so is he".
This verse describes a person's inner character. A man/woman is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.
As the plant springs from the seed, and could not be without it, so every act of man springs from the hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. This applies equally to those acts, which are called "spontaneous" as to those, which are deliberately executed.
Actions are the blossoms of thought, and both joy and suffering are their fruits; thus does a man gather the sweet and bitter fruitage of his own choices.
When I looked up the word "erotic" in the dictionary, it was defined as follows:
1. Of or concerning sexual love and desire; amatory.
2. Tending to arouse sexual desire.
3. Dominated by sexual love or desire.
Sexual love and desire are beautiful gifts for a beautiful time. It is at the time of your marriage. How can you prepare yourself for such a time?
Live by your conscience.
Make wrongs right.
Pray and ask God to be your help.
Study to be a good student.
Set your mind on good things, pure things, and true things.
May you have a blessed life with a happy heart. I hope I have answered your question.

I faced the same question when I was 14. And the way I see it is, 14 is a very awkward age. You're really kicking into puberty and things like that start to really get interesting. I don't think there's anything wrong with it as long as you are able to percieve fantasy from reality. People have hormones and that's okay. Exploring your sexuality through a healthy means like reading erotica and discovering what turns you on and what doesn't is a great thing. It's a much better outlet than going off to discover your sexuality with another person in a situation that could leave you devastated in many many ways. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, sex is a beautiful thing, and erotica is a good way to learn about it.

on the question of "What would God think of it?" depends, like others have said, on your religious beliefs. for most religions it is highly frowned upon. you suppose to have a pure mind, body, and soul in many denominations.
but as another girl that also went through discovery, it is normal to have curiosity for what is out there and of yourself. in fact, i would be worried if you did not go through this stage. but I just recommend that even though you will be tempted try not to have too much sex with guys. you don't want to get pregnant and never think it will never happen to you! i am not saying to become a nun until you are married I'm just saying don't become a floozy. erotica is fun and "innocent" pleasure. just take care of your self.

Reading erotica is a safe way to explore your sexuality. Would God rather have you out actually trying things out to satisfy your curiosity?
There is no sin in your awakening feelings. They are normal and natural, and most everyone goes through this. Don't feel guilty or embarrassed. We are sexual creatures, us humans.
