Both are equally difficult in regards to course work and becoming a doctor. But, I think the medical field is easier the Veterinary Field because animals don't speak the same language we do and therefore it is harder to figure out what it ailing the animals. Whereas humans can speak and so it makes the job a little bit easier, when you know what the symptoms are from a patient.

The old joke is that veterinary is harder because the patients can't talk. veterinary is, of course medicine. On the other hand, animals can't sue.
Seriously, human medicine is a longer and tougher education.

AT FIRST I WOULD HAVE SAID MEDICINE BECAUSE THAT IS A VERY DIFFICULT FIELD, HOWEVER, I WOULD SAY VETERINARY BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY MORE DISEASES THAT CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANIMALS AND GIVEN TO OTHER ANIMALS,ETC. ALSO THE SIZE OF CERTAIN ONES IE: ZOOLOGICAL AND HAVING TO DO SURGERIES ON THESE TYPES; KNOWING THE RIGHT ANESTHESIA TO USE SO THAT A BEAR OR LION IS GOING TO STAY UNDER FOR EXAMPLE WHILE THEY ARE HAVING A TOOTH PULLED! LOL!

Both are equal. No difference. In medicine you are taught about the human systens while in veterinary you have to learn animal systems. Neither of them is easy.

The difficulty is only in your mind. Both require a dedicated effort.
