Well, I am not a computer geek, and I am really slow at this, so can someone please explain to me what messenger is, why do you use it, how many types are there, what it is used for,how is it so advantageous, etc??? I really need you help since everybody everywhere ends up asking whether I have MSN. I have an E mail. id. So does that come into the picture as well???

msn is a website www.msn.com msn messenger is a free program you can download from there that lets you play games,chat using text or voice and many other things with fellow msn messenger users,theres been quite a few but you will automatically be given the latest version,,,,,you need to have a hotmail email account to do all this if you dont goto www.hotmail.com

ok well msn is actually another way for people to xhat on the net. Its like text messages but your typing your message on the computer and it goes straight to your friends computer and thus you have a conversation. On your computer you should already have a msn icon, it will be either within your menu or on the desktop. Click into it and it should tell you the rest. Basically your asked you email address and then you become a member of msn. Once you have an account then you just add friends email addresses and msn searches for them and if there members as well then your linked to them and can have a chat to them. There icon will appear as online, offline, busy, away etc.
But once you click msn it should guide you. Msn has two small characters as a logo or a butterfly depending on whick msn you have, There all the same only one is more updated and advanced with smileys and stuff. You can also do a google search for more info. Goodluck

well messenger is used to chat with ur friends etc. u can get it by going on msn and download it.Open it and sign in afterwards add a contact you have to fill the email of the person to whom u want to chat then save it and give him ur email so that u both could chat .When that person will come online u will be notified right click on it and slect'' send an instant message'' box will apear write and start chatting.If u have some problem while using msn messenger then click the tab ''help'

they are probably talking about the msn chat client, everybody that uses windows has it in the form of "windows messenger", but you have to go to msn.com and sign up for a .net passport. At that point you can also download msn messenger if you want, but windows messenger does the same thing.

Messenger is the greatest invention of all time!!!! You can chat with ur friends and you can go into chatrooms,go to hotmail.com and get an e-mail address, go to msn.com and install msn messenger, add ur friends and chat away... ( yes, ur e-mail addy is vitally important!!)

go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Add/Remove Windows Components and see if MSN has been installed, if not, that is where you install it. Good luck.
