Is it dangerous? It's up to 16,000 feet between China and Tibet border. Well, will the train service be a good operation?

My thoughts include the idea that the Tibetan plateau is very sensitive as far as ecology is concerned. One thing that will happen is that more people will travel there - creating more pressure on the environment, not necessarily a good thing. The other is political. China will attempt - and probably succeed - in the inclusion of Tibet into China through immigration of so many people into Tibet.

It is exciting - the Chinese really know how to build Railroads - I remember when they came over to build Canadian Pacific Railroad in Canada.
