I don't know if they're easy to attain, but states give out Pell grants that you don't have to pay back. Do some research about certain obscure ones, too.
I know a girl who got a scholarship because she was left handed! Also, they give out minority and women-only scholarships.
All and all I think it's a numbers game. The more you apply, the better your chances. Like getting voted best answer on Yahoo. ;-)
Good luck!

Doesn't you college or high school have financial counselors to help you find answers? You could go to goggle search and type in college scholarships, be careful and make sure it is legitimate. There are many way to get money to help you make it through college. Kalamazoo, Michigan pays for all to go to college. This is the only city that I have heard of that does that.
Do not give up, you are supposed to be able to solve problems when going to college, this one is a challenge that you will find answers to.
