I've heard of it. I don't know if TV stars wear it, but I do know that Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, the authors of "What Not to Wear" swear by Spanx.

Tyra probably endorses it for money.
I tried one. It binds in odd places and creates weird creases.

I have one and it is a life saver in a clingy skirt or pants. I would not want to wear it every day because it is TIGHT and hot!
