why have i, as long as i can remember liked men? I mean my earliest memory(about 3y/o) is of getting spanked for touching another kids ding dong. I don't ever recall "choosing" to be gay. God made me this way so why does he decide the way he made me is wrong? that i'm not supposed to have sex with men or like them? Christians, enlighten me. By the way my dad is a preacher, God is unfallable (so i heard), and never have i felt attracted to women, i do mean never. And yes i accepted christ is my saviour and if god makes mistakes why does she/he judge me?

Why are you wasting more time and asking the same question? Perhaps you should get a therapist to help you with this topic. Or perhaps go to your "church of choice" and ask for help cause this obviously is not going to cut it for you.

"God is unfallable (so i heard)" - Sounds like you don't know what you believe in. Get some help.

While we have none of the autographs of the Bible, the early manuscripts we do have have and that are known to be genuine, by the most conservative estimates, have 200,000 differences between the wording in them, and while many are not meaningful, some completely change the doctrine of the church. (Ehrman, Bart, Ph.D.; Misquoting Jesus: The story behind who changed the Bible and Why; Harper Collins, 2006 -- p. 89). less conservative estimates range up to about 400,000 -- and there are programmers now endeavoring to write a program that will be able to count the exact number of variances.

And that's only the start of the difficulties for the Bible. If you only use the Textus Receptus (Received Text) as it is printed in modern Bibles then you are looking at enormous problems anyway -- in fact insurmountable ones. The World does not have corners (Isaiah 11:12), nor does it sit on pillars (I Samuel 2:8), nor water (Psalms 24:1-2). God did not establish a solid dome over the earth (that's what firmament literally means) and he does not have a palace on top of it from which angels can come and go up Jacob's ladder -- which might be reached by the tower of babel -- and where he keeps "treasuries" of hail and snow (Job 38: 22-23). For the sake of all that is decent, you can't even harmonize the 1st and 2nd chapters of Genesis with each other, say nothing of being able to defend the Biblical creation as scientifically factual. That's no surprise though, as the Bible tells us that beetles have four legs (Leviticus 11: 21-23) and that rabbits chew their cuds (Deuteronomy 14:7). It says that pi is 3, not 3.14 (I Kings 7:23 and 2 Chronicles 4:2) and that the mustard seed is the smallest seed in the world and grows into a tree [neither of which are true] (Matthew 13: 31-32). It is hardly a font of rational thought or scientific accuracy. Furthermore these errors only scratch the surface. Try harmonizing accounts in Joshua and the telling of the same tales in timeline in Judges sometime. If you can you are more proficient than any theologian I've ever met, and I've met a few.

Late bronze age men created the OT and early iron age ones the NT. It is not surprising therefore that God cannot lead Israel to defeat Iron chariots after promising he would (Judges 1:19), and it is not surprising that the flight of Israel from the god Chemosh, after the king of a city the Jews were beseiging and that God had promised them they would overthrow The King of the city offered his own son to Chemosh as a human sacrifice, resulting in Chemosh driving the Israelites away (2 Kings 3: 19-27) -- further it is not surprising that no punishment is mentioned -- the Israelites were still sacrificing their own children, as is evidenced in several places, but most graphically in Judges 11:30-39

The long and short of it is, the Bible is a mythic book, written by bronze and iron age men who were recording primarily oral legends in written form. In any realistic sense it is drivel. You can see, just in the passages I noted above from 2 Kings -- the last vestiges of polytheism fading away. Chemosh was supposed to get power from human sacrifice, just as Jehovah did -- and that power allowed him to turn the table against Israel, despite the fact that God was with Israel.

Read the verses, read the context -- to all the things I've suggested, calm your breathing and thinking and ask yourself if this is really the God of the Universe you are reading about -- or a tribal deity, which has now evolved into the one we worship. I think you will find biblegod sadly lacking -- something the liturgical churches have been saying for hundreds of years. If you find yourself unwilling to even look -- ask yourself why? Are you willing to sacrifice the truth, in order to maintain a comfortable myth for yourself?

And if you want a chuckle, read the second, and theoretically final version of the ten commandments. They are in Exodus 34: 10-26. That is the covenant Yahweh actually made with Israel. No seething here.

Seriously, you are feeling conflicted because you have been told things that are not true -- the biggest one being that the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible is a bronze age book written by bronze age men -- except for some parts of the NT that were written by early Iron age men. It is not divine, and what is says about human sexuality is greatly dependent on the sexual morales of a single culture in the 1st to 4th century CE -- 1st to 4th century I say because the root copies that we have are from the 1st to 4th centuries. Anything older may well have been -- as we can see from Dr. Ehrman's work -- changed.

Email me if you need or want to talk further.

Have a nice day.

I don't think god judges you. "Judge not lest ye be judged." and the concept of turn the other cheek tell you that. I think it is important to be a good person, and if god would really punish a person for who they love, then I wouldn't want to go to heaven anyways. People judge others when it is only god's place to judge. People try to make laws and protests and even resort to physical abuse for a way of life that they don't agree with. They say they are doing the work of god, but that is not true because god tells you not to judge and to turn the other cheek. Would you not then just accept that even though you disagree with a homosexual lifestyle accept the person for who they are and pray for them to go into heaven? I believe that is the way it should be. God loves you. And in time hopefully people learn that being gay is no more your fault than it was the fault of African Americans for being born black, and stop punishing you for something you can't help, and instead accept that we are all different. If god wanted us all to be the same, why would he make us so different?

The Bible calls it an abomination among other words it uses to condemn homosexuality. That is pure fact. So the question you must face is that if God says homosexuality is an abomination, then it couldn't have been God that caused you to become gay. I know that is not a reasoning you are willing to accept because it would mean you are responsible, not God. Even though I like to sin because it feels good, it doesn't change the verdict of God that it is wrong. I know we are weak and rationalize our behavior so that we can believe that we are good people. It is convenient to say God caused me to be gay. It makes it not my fault. It makes homosexuality alright. Kind of hard to justify that when God says it is abomination.

First what you were doing at 3 years old was wrong, and therefore you got spanked. God did not make you that way. You chose not to listen when your parents told you it was wrong at 3 years old. You were bent on doing it your way.
If you accepted Christ as your Saviour and have true knowledge of Him, you would not call Him he/she. As God the Father, the Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three in one.

If you accepted Christ and asked Him to come and live in your heart, His Holy Spirit would convict you everytime, you did not obey the voice of the Lord. This is called remorse, or guilty conscience. Ask Our Lord Jesus Christ to create a clean spirit within you.

Christ did not die a shamefull death, on the cross, so that people could keep on sinning and disobey our Heavenly Father. He did this willingly, so that we who believe could put of our old nature and walk in newness of life. Like Christ told us "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." It means to subject yourself to the will of the Lord total submission. Hope this explains. It is very difficult for human beings to put all their trust in the Lord, as human beings always think they know better." We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Though when we do sin, we can ask God's forgiveness for our waywardness, through Christ our Lord, who is the mediator between mankind and our Heavenly Father.

Actually I'm a good example of how people are not born gay. I can slightly remember thoughts about girls and experiences with girls and liking it when I was around 3-6. I remember dreaming, thinking, wanting to do stuff with girls. Then, I dont even remember exactly when, I started to be attracted to guys. I dont know why or how it happened but it just kinda did. At first I forgot about how I used to like girls and just thought I was gay or whatever even though I didn't want to be. But I remembered those thoughts so I knew that being gay is not genetic and in fact is your choice and is morphed from experiences over time, or whatever, because I really dont even know how it happened to me. But God does not create gay people. Someone put it to me in a good way. God does not create people wanting them to sin but a good analogy is someone with alcohol problems. They are made with a stronger addiction or tendency to drink than others which can lead toward sin but they can control it with help and prayer. People are born with stronger tendencies toward certain sins, and one of those just happens to be attraction to the same sex.

While being gay is unnatural, that doesn't mean God doesn't love you. No one on this earth is free from sin. That is why God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for our sins because he knew we couldn't do it on our own. If you love the Lord and repent, your sins shall be forgiven. I don't know why you feel the way you do. I don't know your past. In a lot of cases, not all, it is said that a lot of gay individuals were often victims of molestation as a child. My recommendation would be for you to seek spiritual and psycololgical counseling in order to find the answers you seek. But God loves you regardless. It is sin that he hates. Hope I could be of some help. I don't approve of homosexual lifestyles but as a true christain it is not my job to judge you but to love you as my neighbor and my brother. We are all Gods children. God loves you and I do to. I pray that you find the answers you seek and the happiness you deserve. This is the Caveman signing out and swinging his club in the name of Jesus. Peace.

this is humorous too via fact so little of the Bible extremely addresses homosexuality. i've got seen Christians with TATTOO's of Leviticus 18:22 on their palms and chest. yet, they never examine the subsequent financial disaster in Leviticus... Leviticus 19:28 "'do no longer decrease your bodies for the ineffective or positioned tattoo marks on yourselves. i'm the LORD." the final analysis is that there'll continually be people who hate and that they're going to discover advice on a thank you to hate, non secular and in any different case. How does it injury absolutely everyone else if 2 gay human beings desire to be married? How does it influence absolutely everyone else? If somebody isn't useful and shelter adequate on your guy or woman sexuality, why ought to others go through via fact of it? Homosexuality is a minor footnote interior the Bible... There are different crimes defined interior the previous testomony that we ought to never even think of to persecute somebody via fact of... together with having a tattoo. So extremely what it comes all the way down to is people who're uncomfortable with their very own sexuality and experience a could desire to strike out at those human beings for no reason. Homosexuality predates Jesus... In historic Greece gay male love replaced into seen the "PUREST" of all forms of love as intercourse with their women replaced into seen in basic terms as a thank you to procreate. the two way, as historic as we predict of Christianity is - we could desire to look previous it for the justifications why human beings hate.

i would say Adam and eve are god's BIGGEST mistakes! if he is omnipotent, Adam and eve would not have sinned! because he would have created them with NO curiosity( hence they would not be tempted by the serpent)

if God is all loving, then why is there hell? isn't Lucifer one of the arch angels? since he is an arch angel, doesn't he deserve salvation and forgiveness more than us mere mortals? why create hell to contain him?

if god is all forgiving then why is there hell? (please don't give me the sh!t about people who don't chose to salvaged would go there) if he is all forgiving, there would be no hell!!!!

are you agreeing that god had made a mistake when he accidentally created homosexual animals??? (because homosexuality is not confined to only higher primates) if there is homosexual animals, why is it wrong for human beings to be homosexuals too cuz we are animals too?

the serpent was condemned to slither on its belly for eternity right? you mean to say before that, they jumped around like a pogo stick?? or did they walk like human beings?

if the bible is accurate, then why are there so many factual inaccuracies? Noah's ark?? 5 bread and 2 fishes that can feed thousands? sounds like exaggerations of fairy tales to me.

i believe in God but i'm not too sure if i believe in the christian god, thanx to all those fundamentalists out there. God made us the way he MEANT to make us! (unless you fundamentalists are ready to agree he erred) and i do believe god doesnt judge us by who we sleep with but rather how we do his biddings!

so, chin-up all you gays out there! WE ARE MADE THE WAY WE ARE! THERE IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OFF! when we meet our maker, we should only feel ashamed when we hear it from him! but i doubt it, he made us the way we were meant to be!

regards
