There nothing wrong with getting a tatoo and theres no reason you shouldn't get what you like...If your Irish or Scottish it would just make you feel proud about yourself...I have had a run of bad luck and was thinking about getting a 4 leaf clover to change my luck...See iam Irish and i do believe in things like this...It could't hurt... The reason for your tatoo,I don't know if that would be a good choice, because everytime you see your tatoo or any crosses it will remind you of your hurt...Think about your choice before haven it done...You may decide to pick a different tatoo to fit your personality... GOOD LUCK ON WHAT EVER YOU CHOICE...

Because your decision will hurt someone else. Family, friends, classmates. Suicide leaves an ugly legacy that is unfair to those left behind. It is cruel. It puts siblings and other family members at a much higher rate of doing the same thing. It brings the judgement of the community on your loved ones. It would be less harmful to physical hurt someone than it is to commit suicide on them from what I have seen. The emotional wounds do not heal. The guilt lingers on forever from what I've seen. And on a purely selfish reason depression doesn't last forever. It is an episodic illness and even if you don't take medication almost all people will cycle out of it eventually (and some research on deep brain stimulation is showing promise in really difficult cases). That means you are killing your potential happy times. The times where you will feel as good as you feel bad right now. Your marriage day, or the birth of a child, or just enjoying a kick *** piece of chocolate cake. I've been suicidal I know how deperate it looks, but I got out of it. Barely, and I am so glad I did. I have a wonderful husband and a cute little dog. I do some volunteer work and have a part-time job. Life isn't perfect, but it is good. Therapy is hard work, gut wrenching to look at your life sometimes, and medication isn't perfect either, but it is worth the effort to get well and lead a good life. Don't let this time in your life define who you are.

Not at all. Tattoos are art. If you bought a religious painting you liked, does that mean that you a religious person?

Your body is a direct reflection of you. If the tat has meaning to you then who cares what the rest of the world has to say about it.
