Dun Dun discredited himself by admitting that he roots for the Noles. Now we really can't take his answer seriously (just kidding DD....keep reading).
But, Dun Dun is right about one thing--that upset bug bites. And FSU seems to know about that bug firsthand, losing last year to Virginia, NC State, Clemson, and Florida. They finally got over the hump and beat Miami, just to drop four of their last six. A win over the Hokies, however, sent Bowden and Company to the Orange, where they fell to the Nittany Lions in triple overtime.
So. how will the 'Noles finish up this season?
Let's take a look at the schedule:
S4 at Miami, Fl
S9 Troy
S16 Clemson
S23 Rice
O5 at NC State
O14 at Duke
O21 Boston College
O28 at Maryland
N4 Virginia
N11 Wake Forest
N18 W. Michigan
N25 Florida
Okay, in the Atlantic Division, the Noles are the top dogs, with Clemson as the next best challenger--BC and Maryland are going to have very down years, and Wake and NC State will be one shade darker than mediocre. So, that should be five wins.
The teams that Florida State plays from the Coastal Division are the Miami Hurricanes, Virginia Cavaliers, and Duke Blue Devils. The Blue Devils are a gimmie. While the Noles dropped one to the Cavs last season, Virginia is coming to Tallahassee this year, and the Seminoles are going for revenge. That leaves the short trip to visit the Hurricanes in Miami for Labor Day weekend. This one's a close call, but I'm leaning towards the Hurricanes. Heck, Miami won 19 of their last 20 home openers.
That leaves us with the non-conference schedule: Troy, Rice, Western Michigan, and Florida. One of these things is not like the others....On the plus side, the Noles get to have the Gators come to visit. On the minus side, the Gators will have had all season to settle into their offense. That is, if Tim Tebow steals Chris Leak's starting job sometime midseason, he will be practiced and ready to make a statement in Tallahassee. And we all know what Urban Meyer can do in his second season at an institution (He was 9-3 his second year at BGSU, and Utah went 12-0 in Meyer's sophomore year there).
So, if we are playing devil's advocate, let's give the upset bug one game, and let's have an honest loss to Miami and Florida. Still, Florida State can finish the regular season 9-3 on their way to the ACC Championship Game. And that seems to be absolutely the worst case scenario.
More likely, it could be a 10-2 or 11-1 season. Heck, it's possible that they could run the table. They haven't done that since 1999 (and, if you remember, that was the 12-0 campaign that won Bowden and his boys a National Championship).
They will be a true force to be reckoned with as long as they can avoid simple errors, and find consistency in their kicking game.

I could honestly tell you that I believe they are good enough this year to finish 14-0. They have the best team in the ACC and a very soft non conference schedule (except for the Gators of course). But realistically I think they will go11-1 minis the bowl game, you never really know when the upset bug is going to bite you in the azz. I'm a huge Seminole Fan so I gave you the very very short version... I really didn't feel the need to elaborate...

Hopefully 11-0! But, realistically.....A win @ Miami is crucial, but their QB (Kyle Wright) is a JR this year, and they're always deep. the ACC is loaded with talent this year, we need to worry about NC St., Clemson, and definitely BC ( thank God they're in Tally this year!) FSU's line on off and def is lacking depth and experience, but our backfield is loaded, Backup QB was hurt......But they''ve got more talent than half the teams out there!

They might go 6 wins and 5 losses. Might not make it to a Bowl game this year either. Why I don't like none of the Florida teams.

Wow. that's what helpful Florida and UTEP did final year in convention u . s .. did you realize that? The "annoying basically approximately aggressive convention?" Do you hear your self talk? BTW the Gators do no longer very own the State of Florida. The State of Florida owns the State of Florida.
