Most people just view questions on the homepage. Unfortunately, that means that if a question isn't answered quickly, a lot of the time it stays unanswered.
However, after getting used to the site, many users start using the advanced search to find questions of interest or find particular categories where they are best able to answer well. Some users only come to check out one particular category and leave.

I most look at what come thought the home page or then If I can't find some to answer then I will go something that interest me like pets

I just read the questons and answer the ones I can answer. Usually, it's off the home page, sometimes in a category, often times not, etc. etc.

Most people only answer the most current Questions from the Home Page.
That's normally what I do also...But, may choose a category of interest, especially if there's a long run of stupid, vague, or repeated Questions appearing.

I usually stay on the home page and press Refresh every second until I find a question I want to answer.

You've hit it right on the head. Whatever looks interesting on the homepage, for the moment or so it remains on the homepage, gets answered. I almost never go into the topics to answer questions.

Usually the home page, but sometimes I get sidetracked by an asker and then get sidetracked again by the askers of the questions that the first asker answered, and so on and so on and so on and so on... I never know where I'll end up!

Usually I just got couple favorite ones that I like to look at. But if I see some interesting questions then I might just answer them.
