You will get a lot of answers about classes, including the most practical, and boring accounting, or business law. I think there is no reason not to get started getting some experience in selling, and maybe in making too. Does your school have Junior Achievers? Sign up and help out if it does. Some schools may have a future business club too. The most important skill is not taught in books, its how to politely deal with people and their problems. Read Zig Zeigler's new book "Better than Good." Also look on amazon for a little book on how to write your own business plan. Then, begin to find things to sell and start selling. Look over everything you own and think what would be put in a garage sale if your mother had one, look in your closet and pick out any pieces you have not worn in a year, then sell them on e-bay. That will teach you how to set up an account on ebay and on pay pal. I mean they have on line classes free on eBay on how to do this. I have a friend who has a shop, but she also sells five or six items every day on ebay. She gets a lot of stock to sell off bulk purchases on ebay. Everything confiscated at airports gets sold in 5, 10, or 25 pound lots on ebay. A lot of freight damaged pallets of stuff will sell there, as will factory overruns, and estate sale boxes of stuff. Get summer jobs that deal with people and sales. *

Any and all buisness classes will be helpful. Depending upon the kind of boutique, take home economics. When you get to college, Buisness Administration/Managment might be a good major.
