luminousshad has a good answer except that it is the bell that is neutral, not the food (near the end of his/her explanation). Other than that, good answer.

An unconditioned response is one that is unlearned. For example, if you touch a hot pan, you're automatically going to pull your hand away. This is an unlearned response thus it wasn't taught by anyone or anything other than being a reaction to the pain experienced in your hand. It is automatic.

A conditioned response is the learned reaction to a certain stimulus. For example, take Pavlov's dogs. Dogs naturally salivate at the introduction of food, however, Pavlov paired the stimulus of food with the sound of a bell. The neutral stimulus (bell) paired with the food repeatedly led to the dogs salivating at the sound of the bell. This is a conditioned response.

Unconditioned response = Dogs salivating at the sight/scent of food.

Conditioned response = Dogs salivating at the sound of a bell (learned response).

an unconditioned response is the dog salivating at the smell of the food, a conditioned response would be to ring a bell before serving the food, once the food is removed and the bell is rang and the dog salivates, then conditioning has taken place. this is a response that is reached over time though.

A conditioned response is a learned one. Like Pavlov's dogs who salvitated when the heard a bell. We do the same, when we get certain responses. Uncoditioned means the reaction will change from subject to subject, and can not be learned or projected.

a conditioned response is one that has been learned... Such as in Pavlov's study where the dog's salivated when hearing a bell ring because they had been trained that the bell meant they would get food. An unconditioned response is one the is instinctual such as blinking when you look at the sun because it hurts your retinas and your eye is programmed to protect itself.

A CONDITIONED RESPONSE IS A LEARNED RESPONSE. EX: YOU TOUCH THE OVEN, YOU BURN YOUR SELF, NEXT TIME YOU WALK NEXT TO THE OVEN AND FEEL THE HEAT YOU WILL PROBABLY FLINCH ALTHOUGH YOU DIDN'T BURN YOUR SELF

AND UNCONDITIONED REPONSE IS A RESPONSE THAT OCCURS NATURALLY EXAMPLE: YOU EAT SOMETHING SPOILED YOU GET SICK TO YOUR STOMACH AND THROW UP. IT'S A NATURAL RESPONSE
