there are three or four of them and in each one the aliens evolve and they have to figure out new ways to kill them. in the first ones the aliens grow and become more dangerous by feeding but in the last one they die by becoming gorged on too much food. the movies are named after the town and i think it starts with a P, but i cannot be sure.

It sourt of sounds like the "Tremors" movies, there are 4 of them total , as the town that they take place in is "Perfection".

I would go with "Tremors". Taking place in Perfection, NV.
1. A couple of worms underground start eating people. Had Kevin Bacon in it.
2. They find a dead worm and discover that all of these little walking dudes came out of it. Also had 1 worm in it.
3. The walking dudes eat too much, die, and give way to flying dudes that shoot flames out of their butts.
4. Goes into the past to find the origins of the worms.
