Start with a primer, like Smashbox Photo Finish, EI Solutions Foundation Primer, or even Sephora's in-house brand Makeup Base. The dimethicone with help soak up some of the oil Another thing that works well is Dr. Feelgood from Benefit. You apply it under your makeup. The cornstarch will soak up excess oil throughout the day, making you look flawless. You can throw it into your purse and pat a bit on your T-zone throughout the day to keep mattifying as needed without looking cakey.
Also, you can try oil-control cleansers and toners, like ones made by Ole Henricksen. Although not oil control, I use Whoosh by Benefit, and the salicylic acid in it keeps my skin looking smooth and fresh

Try MAC Studio Fix foundation; it's a powder with great coverage. Also buy some blotting papers, you can get them with or w/o powder on them. You can find them pretty much anywhere, but the Japanese made ones are, in my opinion, the best. It allows you to blot the oil without removing any makeup.
Don't over-wash your face. This actually increases oil production. Mary Kay makes a good lotion called Velocity. It is specifically for oily skin, and helps to tame the oilies. The only problem with products that help to keep the shine down is it makes liquid foundation go on weird. Hence my MAC suggestion.
All in all, the MAC Studio Fix is a superior product to anything I've tried. You won't be disappointed with it.

I too have oily skin and I have found that liquid foundation will only make it look worse and will not stay on no matter what you do. Try a mousse foundation instead or a cream to powder type. Both of these work really well on oily skin because it has more texture. The ones that I like and use is Perfect match Dewey Souffle mousse foundation by Avon and Personal match cream to powder foundation also by avon. If you have any questions feel free to ask me anytime.

I had the same problem. Here is my suggestion: First and foremost, be careful about the cosmetics that you are applying to your face. If you wish to have a nice greaeless skin the whole day, I suggest Prescriptives Flawless foundation. Also, take care of your skin by applying products that are for oily skin. Try Shiseido's Pureness line that has a cleanser, toner and moisturizer for oily skin. It is about $35 for the package and does a great job. If you use a blush or bronzer, make sure that it is oil free.

Oily Skin Treatment
When the sebaceous glands in the body produce excess sebum, your skin turns oilier. Due to this skin condition you are most prone to face problems such as acne, whiteheads, blackheads, etc. Therefore due care should be taken on a regular basis to reduce the chances of developing skin diseases.
Daily, mix 1 tablespoon of limejuice with cucumber juice and ...

If you use a moisturizer before putting on your foundation (one specially formulated for oily skin) that helps to keep back the oils. Also, look up oily blotting papers. You use them throughout the day and their just small thin paper you blot on your face and it takes off excess oils without removing your foundation. After you use those, just powder up your face and go!
Thats what I do.

Skin care is always important. Beofre applying any makeup be sure to cleanse your face thouroughly with something that's specifically for oily skin. I like Velocity by Mary Kay. Then, you also want to find a foundation that's made for oily skin, like Medium-Coverage Foundation (also by Mary Kay). You should definitely see better results.

Contact your local Mary Kay consultant and ask her about the oil mattifyer, the beauty blotters, or even the Time-wise Normal to Oily 3-in-1 cleanser and Moisturizer. The moisturizer "dries" matte.

Hey!
Okay, this is going to sound really weird but this is one of the BEST-KEPT BEAUTY SECRET for those with oily skin: applying Milk of Magnesia to your skin completely sucks up oil. Weird, yes... but it's been a godsent for me!! Apply under your makeup.
I totally understand your problem. I have chronically oily skin, friends have actually told me to wipe my face because it gets so oily. Milk of Magnesia has helped me tremendously! My face stays matte through the day!
Check out the glowing reviews of it on this popular beauty site: http://makeupalley.com/

Use a foundation that has a water base instead of an oil base. Also, use loose powder and apply the powder lighlty with a brush.
