Hell NO NO NO.... aren't we supposed to have freedom?

That would be a loud, resounding, emphatic NO! The Government has no business in peoples private lives. I do not smoke, but I am very opinionated on this subject. In florida and Georgia (where I live) there is already a ban in certian places(in restaurants, under public shelters, and other public places). PUBLIC, which means a shared place, owned by all, etc. I do believe the Government has somewhat of a hand in. Fine. But when you start saying things like there should be a statewide ban of smoking PERIOD you are basically talking about Communism. This is not what this country is about. If you don't like the neighbors smoking in their yard, stay away from them. Don't say things that gives our government any idea that they have business in our private lives. Whats next? Large people cannot but sweets? Government telling us what kind of pet we can have? What type of home to live in? Where to live? Be careful what you wish for, because sadly, it is coming true, and freedom is not freedom when you can't stand on you own property and give your own self cancer without having the cops called on you. Think about it.

I'm deathly allergic to cigarette smoke and still my answer would be no
I think, considering all the publicity and finger pointing, smokers should try to avoid non smokers.
Areas should me made to accommodate them.
Smoking has been around a hell of a lot longer than recent statistics. Believe it or not, there actually was a time smoking was considered a fashion statement.
Here's one for you.
How many people will die of cancer, heart disease, and other of many causes of death, due to eating McDonald's, Burger King and Pizza,Taco Bell, need I go on?
I've been told by a fairly, granted only fairly, reliable source that they're no true and accurate tests made that actually proves 2nd hand cigarette smoke itself kills anybody. It's all part of a bigger picture. Since I was told that I've come to reading statements made claiming surveys on second hand smoke and it's true, they always use referral words not factual statements.
But who knows, it could all be BS, but it's interesting.
So, once again, I'm against any laws that would make smokers criminals.

For a smoking ban, I would vote no, I am a smoker and I don't like when people tell me that I can not smoke. I understand in a grocery store, but in a restaurant, I like to smoke a cig after my meal or with my coffee. I live in NY and there is already a smoking ban in restaurants, bars and public places, and I think it's wrong!

I would have to vote no. I believe that is taking away one of our civil liberties. I don't believe that the government has the right to do that. I do however feel that non-smokers have the right to enjoy the things they like without being bombarded with smoke. should there be places that smoking is not allowed, Yes, But NO the right should not be taken away completely.

I'd vote no. I'm not a smoker, but I think that smokers are not treated fairly at all. Every time a municipality wants to raise money, they raise the cigarette tax even if the money is being raised for something that has nothing to do with smokers.

I'd vote yes, I'm also a smoker, and in California it works well. Non smokers can enjoy themselves more, and if I want a smoke, I go outside. Noone looks at me weird, they actually appreciate it.

Absolutely NOT! This is America, we are supposed to be free and free means free to make your own decisions. If you choose to smoke and kill your lungs that is your perogative by all means. The government is already trying to control us don't let it happen people!!! Stand up for our freedom, don't just sit back and complain, step up for our rights!!!!
YOU GO TAZBOYED!!! I hate the smell of cigarette too but no way will I stand back and let the government control me and my freedom.
