I use to donate blood on a regular basis and I did that every 8 weeks. They said that 8 weeks was enough time to build up the iron, blood, etc. in your system. Think of it as the replenishing time. I did this for several, several years....once every 8 weeks, until the popped the needle through my vein. That is when I stopped.

But you can safely donate blood once every 8 weeks if you wanted to.

you can donate blood every 8 weeks, so only donating 2 times a year should not be a problem as long as you are qualified to donate

It depends on the individual. I've known some people who donated blood and it upset their entire system for months. And then there are people who can do it with no problem. I suppose it must have something to do with the iron in the blood and overall state of health.

as long as you are healthy, you're be ok. In fact, it is good to donate blood as your body will produce new blood to replace those that are donated away.

and you will be helping others, potentially saving a life with each donation. Think about it.

Not that I'm aware of.

I think you have to wait 4 weeks or so before you can do it again to give your body time to resupply what was taken.

If you do it every 6 months you should be fine.

I would consult your doctor before you do it to make sure that you can and how long you should wait to give again.

If you can't give blood for the general public you might be able to give blood and have it just for you just incase you need it one day.

Everytime u donate blood a batch new red cells are born. The younger cells carry more oxygen.
Each blood donation makes the donor "YOUNGER".
It is widely rumored one film actor does it and stays young.
