If you are bottle feeding they normally drink about 2- 3 oz every 2-3hours. If you are breast feeding anywhere from 10-20 minutes per breast. Each baby is different and will consume a little more or a little less. If you are bottle feeding wheather it be pumped breast milk or formula it is best to put aproz 1 extra ounce in the bottle so when they are going through stages and want more or are starting to need more they can have it.

Our daughters drank 2-3 ounces but quickly got to finish 4 oz bottles and cried for more...it all depends on the baby, it's size and it's appetite. You're going to be a good mom! :-))
Best of luck to you!

My girl drank only an ounce. Within the first days of life, my doc said that, babies have stomach size of a marble :) So may be my baby's tummy was a size of small marble. She's 10 month old and she drinks only 5oz at a time but drinks more no. of times.

my daughter drank 2-3 oz the first 2 weeks...every 2-3 hours...and from 3-4 weeks it was 3-4 oz every 3-4 hours...now she is 5 weeks and is taking 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours..

if you feel she is still hungry and you're afraid to feed her anymore...once she reaches 4 weeks old...its okay to put about 1 teaspoon of baby rice or oatmeal in a 4 oz bottle of formula. Its not to much but it will help fill her belly and she may rest better.

It depends on the baby, but some don't even drink but maybe a half an oz. And, are you breastfeeding or formula? At least pump your colostrum, it's the best thing a baby can EVER receive.
