I work for Tampax, honestly. I was taught that TSS is caused from keeping the fluids inside longer they should be. TSS is directly associated with tampon use, not underwear. The pamphlet in your box of tampons actually does a great job of describing cause and symptoms. Hope I helped. Email me if you want.

TSS comes from wearing tampons, not thongs.

I don't think so. TSS is caused when you leave a tampon in too long and bacteria begins to form.

you get tss from bacteria inside your body. i only wear thongs and have never had problems.
it has nothing to do with thongs --

i've never heard of that before, but that doesn't mean it isn't true...so i dunno
i do know you can get TSS from leaving in a tampon for too long...so i dunno if a thong could cause it
