AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain
For purple mountain majesty
Above the fruited plain
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassiond stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self control
Thy liberty in law

I think this is my favorite so far because I have learn this song when I was in third grade and it is so BEAUTIFUL it tells us so much about every thing bad that is going on. We still have freedom. It really telling us that we need to appreciate more than taking advantage of it.

Best Wishes,
♥ Vy

Proud to be an American(?) by Lee Greenwood.
I thought it was a pretty corny song when I was younger until I went to a friend's (who was a vet) funeral and heard it being sung by almost everyone in attendance followed up by taps. That experience changed my perception of this song forever.
