A valence shell is an orbit around the nucleus where valence electrons are found. These electrons during a reaction are given away to atoms of other elements to fulfill the gap in that element

OR
the other element gives the electrons to fulfill he gaps in this valence orbit

OR
both share to form covalent bond

The valence shell is the the outermost electron shell of an atom. And the electrons in this shell are referred to as valence electrons(the valence electrons determine the chemical properties of an element)

The outermost shell around the nucleus. The electrons present in this shell are called valence electrons and the number of electrons present or short of full occupancy( 2,8,18... as the case may be) in this shell is called valency and determines the chemical reactivity of the substance.

Electrons orbit a nucleus in organized levels, or shells. The outermost shell is the valence shell. If it is not full the atom will have a charge and may bond with another atom. If it is full, it is considered stable.

Valence shell is usually the outer shell of a atom. That reacts during any chemical interaction. This can be used to determine the ratio in which elements will react.

a Valence shell is the area surrounding the nucleus of an atom that an electron would be found in. They were invented to make it easier for people to classify and organize atoms and elements

a valence shell is the outermost place an electron is found in an atom. It contains the electrons that interact with the electrons from other atoms to form bonds.

Its the outermost shell of an atom.
The valence shell electrons are the electrons which take part in a chemical reaction, either transfer or sharing, depending on the type of reaction.
