both have their benefits and drawbacks.... most of the boxers i've seen have an open fly (some have a single button, very few have no fly) so they suck for lounging around the house in... might as well be naked. does not apply so much to the single-button type. most guys have told me that boxers win hands down for comfort. you might argue commando wins, but think about the fabric: would you rather your boys scraping on some jeans and risking being zippered up, or loosely covered by some nice cotton or silk? i rest my case.
as for briefs, they offer good support. the fabric tends to be fairly thick though, which adds to the support but also adds more heat to the equation. testicles aren't meant to be body temperature or warmer, and briefs kind of restrict the body's natural temperature regulation in that region. they also don't leave much to the imagination, which could be good or bad, depending on whom you ask. ;)
boxer-briefs are really sexy, but only if the guy has a decent-looking midsection. a six pack isn't necessary, but a beer gut totally ruins the image. it seems like the fabric is a little thinner than with briefs but offers similar support due to the extra material on the thighs. my personal choice, for men and women!
i recently discovered the awesomeness of boxer-briefs for women. not boy-shorts; boxer briefs. hanes makes some with a really nice fit/cut and they are amazingly comfortable. they are even low-rise so you can wear them with most of the low-rise styled jeans. i suppose guys don't dig them as much as bikinis or a thong, but unless you're trying to impress some new guy, who cares? guys get to choose their undergarments based on comfort, the ladies should too. save the thongs for a special occasion. *wink wink*

I am not being a jerk, but I like boxer briefs. Regular briefs are too constricting and boxers are just too loose. Boxer briefs are best.

I like boxer briefs, they conform to you like briefs, but seem to allow the same movement as boxers.
