We've followed them for several years and love the team. This was the first year management pulled off a blockbuster trade, and, at this point, they haven't done much in the free agent market. The big question fans have is whether management wants to spend enough money on one or more key players to commit to winning The Cup.

Most exciting team to watch this year, though, was the Buffalo Sabres (though the Sharks did shut them out). If the Sharks can move the puck up the ice like the Sabres did, and really capitalize on their speed, they'll be tough to beat.

One key signing, if he's healthy, would be Owen Nolan, who can take the place of Scott Thornton as a physical forward.

But we still miss Mike Ricci.

the problem with the Sharks is that there is not any chemistry or stability on the crew. Thornton & Nabokov have carried all of them season. Ron Wilson is partly to blame, yet i extremely blame Doug Wilson for sitting on his fingers really after the Thornton commerce. He has also given up the adventure & skills for very few draft alternatives. Joe Thornton might want to be the captain, as he's the chief in this crew. you do not see Marleau accessible talking to the linesman after a penalty. this is continually Thornton. Marleau is captain in straight forward words because of his lengthy tenure with the crew. He hasn't ever been a pacesetter in this crew, besides the actual incontrovertible reality that he has placed up some good numbers in his years with SJ. He does no longer look having any relaxing this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and this is showing in his terrible numbers. He desires to pass to a unique crew so he can shine back. The Sharks want a extra experienced protection, extra scoring threats and a good back up goalie. Dougy gained't do it notwithstanding. He needs to stay with the little ones, and they have some good ones in Torrey Mitchell (all out hustle) & Devin Setaguchi (even as he receives extra time). The Sharks have sufficient grit & administration in Thornton, Grier, Rivet on the ice. Doug Wilson is the problem, yet Ron Wilson will pay with his interest even as the Sharks get eliminated contained in the first round this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

Yes, I have been watching the sharks since I was 13. The have a great team and they are still pretty young, I beleive the oldest player will be nils ekman at the age of 30. Not only that there minor league team is great. Although the Sharks will be serious contenders if the get a healthy Owen Nolan!!Go Sharks!!!!!!!!!!
