It depends upon what kind of headache you have. If you have a tension headache, (pain in the back of head, neck, etc.,) doing something relaxing will help. For headaches in general, you can eat ginger. There is a pressure point in your hand in the "web" between your thumb and forefinger. Pressing this point between the thumb and forefinger of your hand helps some people. If you have a migraine or cluster headache, caffiene can help. Feverfew helps some people too, so if you happen to have a plant in your yard, you can chew on a leave or two.

A massage around the base of the head (like the nape of the neck), drink A LOT of water. There is also a homeopathic treatment for headaches, if you are asking how to get rid of it without drugs. The treatment is Arnica Montana and it works pretty well, just ask about it in a health food store.

When I start to get a headache the first thing I think of is how much water I have had and whether it has been too long since I ate. If neither of these is the problem then some moderate physical exercise often helps, since it will loosen and stretch the muscles. (If it isn't water or food then it is usually muscle tension.) Some pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, and you are good as new.

If you don't use any drugs, the only way to get rid of a headache is to rest a lot and eat just light until the headache goes away.
It would be very useful to know what causes the headeache, too.

1. A face cloth in a bowl with water and ice cubes.
2. Wring out cloth.
3. Lay back with eyes closed and place over forehead and eyes.
4. Do over again as cloth warms up.
I suffer constantly from headaches, and often not even meds work.
This feels great!

I know this sounds weird for a headache, but you could try putting an ice pack on the back of your neck for 20 minutes. It should numb the nerves a little bit to relieve the pain. Good Luck!

Massage your temples. Yoga. And the best way is masturbation, it works. With any of these drink plenty of water. Get off your pc and lying down may help...

Drink water. Head aches are usually a symptom of dehydration.
